Strikes (Atemi-Waza) & Blocks

Our style of ju-jitsu also incorporates punches, kicks and other forms of striking.  As well as teaching you how to perform the strike, we show you the most appropriate target area or atemi point for each technique.

The defensive blocking techniques are similar to those found in other martial arts, such as karate, but they are performed differently.  Rather than meeting force with force, they are either performed early (to intercept a strike before it's most powerful point) or late as you are moving out of the way (parrying the strike).
